Update 16th December 2024
We have put together a couple of document to provide community feedback on the Community Survey, and on the drop-in events:
We are still working on the Draft LPP, and this should be available early January.
Update 1st November 2024
We held community consultation events at Edinkillie Hall ,and at Rafford Village Hall on 29th and 30th October, where we met community members and presented some of the thoughts and ideas collected so far. We had a good turnout and received many useful comments on the Display Boards. You can see these here.
Please let us know if there are any ideas that have not been represented on the boards or if you have comments in relation to information shown; please email the address below no later than the 13th Nov for your comments to be taken into consideration. engage@collectivearchitecture.co.uk
An event newsletter will be circulated summarising the conversations and comments received at the community events.
Previously . . . . . .
We have launched a community survey, which is now closed. The responses have been incorporated into a draft Local Place Plan, which will be presented to the community for comments at Drop-in Events to be held in Edinkillie Hall on 29th October, and at Rafford Village Hall on 30th October.
We also would like input from Businesses and other organisations within Finderne. You can find the Other Stakeholders survey here -> Other Stakeholders Survey. Still open for further responses.
Background.
Local Place Plans are developed by communities and are used by the Local Authority in creating their Local Development Plan, which includes planning guidelines for how and where land and property will be developed.
The sections of the current Moray Local Development Plan 2020 relevant for Finderne can be found on our website here ->Moray Local Development Plan 2020
With the benefit of funding from the Finderne Development Trust, we have been able to engage a consultant, Collective Architecture, to assist with community consultation, and development of the Draft LPP.
The process for developing our Local Place Plan is as follows:
- Get Community input for our initial Draft LPP by returns from a questionnaire
- Develop the initial Draft LPP
- Present the initial Draft LPP to the community at a Drop-in event
- Incorporate community feedback and present the proposed LPP to Moray Council by end January 2025
